Northern Apartment
The existing layout of this 65m2 apartment in Frankfurt, Germany, was in need of improvement: the kitchen and bathroom were cramped, and other rooms had under-utilised spaces. Situário proposed the reconfiguration of the floor plan to provide a generous bathroom and an open-plan kitchen-dining space with dramatically improved functionality. Further, a folding partition at the entrance to the living space allowed for the rearrangement of the living room into an extra bedroom for visitors. The material palette of the apartment interior took inspiration from Frankfurt’s muted colours and red sandstone facades, informing the conceptual imagery shown.
